As I shared in my last newsletter (click here to read), there are now six generations in the workforce. The youngest generation to enter the workforce, Generation Alpha, turns 15 this year and is just beginning their career journey. Unlike previous generations, Alphas are true digital natives. They’ve grown up in a world where AI is seamlessly embedded into their daily interactions.

Think about it:

  • When they need to edit a video, they instinctively turn to AI-powered tools like Adobe Premiere’s Auto Reframe or Runway’s AI editing features.
  • Instead of sifting through pages of Google search results, they ask AI-powered chatbots like ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini for direct answers.
  • When tasked with drafting a report, they don’t start from scratch. They use AI assistance to generate a structured outline before refining it with their own insights.

This isn't laziness or cutting corners. It's efficiency. They utilize artificial intelligence as just another tool at their disposal, just like a calculator, spell checker, or search engine. This is a great way for organizational leaders to look at the new development as well.
